DEATH TO MACHISMO

- “Death to Machismo” is a portrait series and documentary examining how individuals in the Latino community, who are male or identify as male, create their own concepts of masculinity that deviate from the toxic notions of machismo. The project captures their expressions of manhood that challenge deeply ingrained cultural norms while staying authentic to their heritage. Through intimate portraits and personal stories, the series explores a spectrum of inclusivity and progressive notions, offering a fresh perspective on masculinity in the Latino community. Ultimately, it seeks to promote a more inclusive and evolving understanding of manhood within this cultural context.
